President’s Letter 2025
As the year comes to an end, I’d like to update Members on the club and its activities.
This year, I was voted in as the new President along with Rick Odom as the new Treasurer, and LuAnna Bryant as the new Secretary. We also have two new Board members: Jim Morris and Bryan Gray. I would like to let the Members know the senior Officer, Jim Hoock and senior Board members Jim Moore, Harlan Hudson, and David McElyea have been instrumental in ushering in the new Officers and Board members.
We have had two workdays this year and as always, the Members volunteering showed up enthusiastically and ready to go. A huge amount of clean up and block replacement was completed at the Indoor Pistol Range. The second workday was also a big success with the Sight-in Rifle Range getting new frames and backboards.
In other news, the 600-Yard Range road was graded and smoothed out. And as I write this, Sight-in Days are coming along nicely with Jim Morris at the helm and all the volunteers giving so freely of their time to help. The annual raffle is also coming to an end, and it looks like it’s going to be another successful year. Rick Odom should take a bow for that success.
All in all, as a first-time President, I’d say it’s been a successful year and would like to say it’s not my doing, but the work and effort of the Officers, Directors, and many involved volunteer Members that made it a success.
The club is looking at moving towards an electronic membership application. We’d like to hear your comments regarding that along with any other comments, good or bad, regarding the club. Comments can be submitted on the comment section on the back of the membership application.
Please don’t forget that club meetings are the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm at the club house. Remember, its your club!
Thanks to all,
Allen Moores
